Diamondbacks pitcher Doug Davis diagnosed with cancer

An article appearing on MLB.com is reporting Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Doug Davis has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Davis will continue to pitch until surgery is scheduled.

yes, hoprfully he can push through it, and leave baseball behind if he has to because living is more important than your job even if it is baseball

Now I'm really glad I didn't go through with that trade... Seriously, though, this is awful news. Let's hope Doug Davis beats this thing and comes back 100%.

Of all the cancers he could get, at least thyroid is easy to notice and very treatable. (was he exposed to too much radiation or something?) Get well, Doug.
