Creating Better Pages for Teams and Schools
With the new design, the old team formats -- check out Boston Celtics -- are exceptionally crappy. Sooo.......
I'm going to redo them all. Yes, all of them. There are probably 1000 or so, when you include MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, CFL, HBO, MTV, Colleges, MLS, EPL, etc. teams.
I've done... half of one. The New York Mets. Some people have offered to take a team or two, and I come today BEGGING for each of you to take another team or two.
I don't expect you to go into the same level of detail I did -- or, have done so far -- with the Mets, or what Thecrookedcap did with the Philadelphia Phillies. And I don't expect you to go it alone. Just get it to the point where it makes sense, covers all the basics, etc. You know, so in case someone comes along and wants to update or add to the page, they're not left with a basically blank slate.
Here's what I want y'all to do:
- Put a comment up telling everyone what team (just choose one for now!) you want to work on. If someone else signed up for that team, reply to them, saying you'll help.
- Copy over the format 'cap and I used, and start plugging away.
- Ask other fans of the team for help. Ask non-AGMers, even.
- Ask bloggers of your team for help -- because they talk to a lot of fans of your team. For example, if you're working on the Giants, the guys at The McCovey Chronicles can probably find you some helpers.
- Rinse. Repeat.
Thanks! And here's to a kick-ass 2008!
Oh, and let me know when you're working on it :)
