Chicago gets the number 1 pick in the draft lottery

The Chicago Bulls, who had a 1.7% chance of winning the draft lottery in the first place are your draft lottery winners.

As for the Knicks, who I at least wanted to finish in the top 3 in the draft lottery, they finished #6.

What a world.

They'll have to decide whether Derrick Rose is worth the #1 pick, which will likely mean trading Kirk Heinrich, or if Michael Beasley is the best choice. He's a bit of 'tweener, but I think they should take Beasley and hope his game translates to the NBA.

Not a great year to get the number one pick. I'm calling Beasley a bust right now, and Rose a maybe. For a team like Chicago, who already has a decent PG, trading down should be the first option--you can get just as good a player at better value a few spots down the board.

I dont know much about college basketball but I dont get the feeling that there is a cant miss talent in this years draft class. I am glad the Bulls got this though because it gives them some leverage to either trade down or hope one of these players turns into an NBA star. I personally hope they trade down.
