Challenge Me If You Dare!
I have 200 friends.
After that, someone else has 77. There are three other users in the 40s.
As many of you also know, I'm focused on creating high quality encyclopedia articles. Those pages aren't done, but I'll be working on them, and others. Typically, MLB prospects and foreign players who are likely MLB-bound.
So, I hereby issue the following challenge, to any and all takers:
Get to 100 Friends Before I Get to 250.
If you do, I will match your contributions. That is, I'll write up a page for a prospect of my choosing -- and it will be of the quality of the Kosuke Fukudome page -- for every quality MLB prospect (inc. MLB-bound foreigners) page you write up until the end of July. And it's retroactive. So, if you get to 100 friends on July 30th (and I'm not yet at 250), but have written up 10 prospects since then, that's 10 I have to match. It doesn't matter why you wrote up the page (e.g., maybe you lost another challenge). If it's good, it counts.
If you fail, you'll have to write up one prospect of my choice -- and it'll have to be a quality write-up.
The rules:
1) You have to challenge me by Tuesday, or within 48 hours after joining AGM.
2) At least five of your friends have to (a) be new to ArmchairGM as of 6/8/2007 and have at least 10 user points by the time the challenge ends.
3) I get to pick my prospects. Sorry. But the four I linked-to above don't count.
4) Disclosure: I will be asking others to help me write the pages up. I do so because I want their input on the pages, not because I am going to be shirking my obligations.
5) Foes don't count.
6) You have to accept the challenge by posting a comment here.
So, what are you waiting for?
Challenge me, and invite your whole address book (or type in email addresses).
