Bulger or Harrington?

Posted by Behbigben15

My fantasy QB's are Jake Delhomme, and Marc Bulger. With Delhomme out again this week, and possbily the rest of the '07 season, and with Bulger struggling I decided to pick up Joey Harrington who plays the Titans this Sunday. Should I start Harrington, or Bulger, who is struggling, and plays the Cardinals this week? Advice would be appreciated.

My general rule is to avoid matchup questions and go with the better QB, unless there's a prevailing reason (e.g. QB playing the Bengals). Go Bulger.

I agree with you, but Bulger's been playing with broken ribs, and he's been struggling because of it. I think that it'd be better to start Harrington.

Go Bulger simply because he is just better than Harrington and the Cardinals or the Patriots or Steelers.

Harrington is the better play until the Rams can show that they can produce some offense. The Orlando Pace injury has really put a damper on their offense

It is not just the Pace injury that has slowed Bulger.

Look at their offensive line at the second. Todd Steussie has yet to play, same with Richie Incognito. Pace is gone, Mark Setterstrom is out for the year after HE was injured, Adam Goldberg went out with a knee sprain Sunday.

They haven't finished a game this season with the same five linemen who started.

Add that Steven Jackson is hurt, Isaac Bruce has a strained hamstring, and the Rams are in trouble.

I'd go with Bulger because I think he's a better qb with a better matchup. I wouldn't expect a ton of points from either of them, though.

Go with Harrington. Oddly enough look at his stats passing for close to 300 yrds a game. Completing over 70% of his passes. Not great but solid. The Rams offensive line is terrible and its not getting any healthier anytime soon. Throw in no Jackson and a shotty running game and that means a lot of pressure on Bulger. You really dont want to see your immobile QB with 2 broken ribs having to drop back and pass it 20 plus times a game.

I would say Harrington (See what is on the waiver wire!!!) Bulger has cracked ribs and has lost 3 of his startign linemen. I will take a heathly line and healthy QB over potential

I would definitely pick Harrington (pretty good matchup against Titans), and the Rams stink. Bulger's hurt bad, and they can't protect him or run the ball.

That and the Cards defense is actually apparently decent.

Oct 3 Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger (ribs) will sit for a week or two in order to give his ribs a chance to heal. KFFL

Oct 1 Bulger finished 11-of-24 for 114 yards and one interception in Week 4 against Dallas.

Recommendation: This is beginning to be the lost season for Bulger and the rest of his Ram teammates. He was pulled for precautionary reasons early in the 4th quarter as his ribs were aching after being sacked another three times. At this point Bulger shouldn't even enter your thoughts as a starting fantasy quarterback. He lost another starting offensive lineman in Week 4 and as it stands now things are going to get worse before they get better.

sorry , meant to wrap that with quotes as its Yahoo speak not me, still, safe to say Harrington is the one you want to play. Harrington has had 2 solid games in a row, but watch out, the Titans D is underrated. might want to pick up another QB too....

Maybe the question should be Harrington or Frerotte.

Not so much a matter of him being benched, Linehan made the choice to rest him because of the broken ribs and the banged up knee. It has affected his ability to throw the ball, and diminished his accuracy. Rather than subject him to another beating from an aggressive Arizona defense, Linehan is playing it safe, hoping that Richie Incognito and Todd Steussie are close to returning, as well as Steven Jackson. Isaac Bruce may not play either with his hamstring injury.
