Biggest College Football Game(s) this weekend...?
Being a college football fanatic, most of the country right now is getting the overflow of VA Tech at LSU being the biggest game of the weekend. I agree its a big game and ESPN is hypin it up big time. But I think the bigger game will be in the state of Texas, where the Longhorns (who didnt look that great last week) face TCU who has a pretty dang good D and a efficient and solid Offense. If Colt McCoy isnt better than he was last week, look for the Horned Frogs to squeak out a W.
Another big game, even though its for a different reason, is the Irish against Penn St from Happy Valley. Why is it a big game...? Because if ND doesnt score a TD for a second straight week, things could get real ugly for the Golden Domers. I mean, looking at their sched (in order after this weekend - @MICH, MICH ST, @PURDUE @UCLA, BC, USC), do they realistically have a shot to beat anyone till they get to the Navy game, which would make them 0-8...? Yikes...! I like Charlie Weiss (i mean he basically invented Tom Brady lol) but he will have to work a miracle to get this team to not tank this season.
