Beat Writer Update

Because of a trip to California, a nasty cold, and our DSL getting canceled erroneously (yes... don't ask), I haven't done an audit of the beat writing program yet. So, for this week, can you guys tell me:

• If you're a beat writer:
  • Have you written stuff?
  • Have you asked outsiders for links or otherwise introduced yourself?
• If you're not a beat writer:
  • What coverage have you noticed?

So write, Beast. It's not like you don't have alot of teams in your area. Your Angels preview article was one of the best all season, so we know you can do it.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to write an article yet, for the Celtics. I know others have about their predictions of where the Celtics will be at the end of the season. I might give my prediction a couple games into the season, or I might just talk about the season itself a week from the start of the season.

I am not a beat writer but I have been reading FrankD's Penguins beats. Since he became the Pens beat writer I look forward to those articles every week. I know this project hasn't created a large amount of new articles but, at least for me, I have found a beat that I enjoy reading. So, props to FrankD.

I've written 2 articles and I created Beat Report Opinions pages for the beat reports and the sports being covered. I haven't contacted anyone. I hope to get 2 articles out this week, but work has been very busy.
