Celebrate good times come on!

At least Bryant Gumbel is not nearly the Cabbage Patch Kid as Greg was. http://thesp...patch_g.html

First person to tell me the significance of this song gets a gift (hint: it's more specific than the info on youtube)

It was the song used for FDR's campaign of 1932?

yes, but there's a more general significance that is not specific to either FDR or the Depression (but very closely associated with it)

It doesn't really work for the NFL network, because there really haven't been "happy days", but still...

true again, but not quite what I was looking for. Do you know this, or are you looking it up? It doesn't matter either way, I'm just curious

I think knowing it relates to FDR, and that somewhere in the rockies it will be played this fall should be enough to figure it out

Ever since FDR's campaign, it has become associated with the Democratic party, and I'm almost positive is played at each DNC Convention. You got it close enough though. I just wanted to see if you knew the rest of it, and to comment some more :)

And the man, about whom the thread was created, turned out to be so boring his thread was jacked by a song written during the depression. Fitting, this is it.
