BREAKING NEWS:Sean Salisbury Out, Cris Carter in at ESPN

Posted by SSreporters

My day has been made. ESPN finally decided to let go of Mr. Panther Bias Dong Picture Taking Sean Salisbury himself after 12 years. Also, ESPN hired Cris Carter, who will still have a job after all when it looked like he would not be an analyst next season due to the cancellation of HBO's Inside the NFL.

So uh....what do you think of these moves?

Never really saw much of Inside the NFL since I never had HBO. But saying bye bye to Salisbury can only mean good things.

Well....Carter is very well spoken, and is the anti-Emmitt Smith.

1980 actually... The flyers were good, the Eagles went to the superbowl, the Sixers won the NBA title and the phils won their first and only World series

and if you do the math, the sixers win a championship every 20 years (or so), the Flyers about every 21 years (foreshadowing this season i suppose) the Eagles every 25 years, and the phillies... every 125 years...suck on that Boston!

And yes, if the Sonics leave, it is more likely to happen 2 years from now. I also heard that if on March 4th a proposition involving taxes gets shot down on OK City, the Sonics are here to stay.

BTW - "first the Pats lose and now Salisbury is gone... Wow GOD, you showed me...I got served" - that is an instant classic in my book!!

Is that Chase on the Tastykake box? Hey, maybe it's the Tastykakes that facked us all up?? They aren't anywhere near as tasty as when we were young... and they're all smaller now.

I was at the "Philadelphia Sandwich Company" in Scottsdale yesterday and they have a big sign that says "WE SELL TASTYKAKE!" - I informed the manager that so does every single supermarket around here...

But NONE of them have jelly krimpets!

I LOVE the coffee cakes but I always eat them frozen. Kandy Kakes too.

I used to work at a warehouse that was a distribution point for Tastykake drivers and they gave us cases of slightly dated stuff every night. I got so fat working there...

Mmmmmm. Rotten eggs!

Honestly, the thing I miss about Philly foods the most (other than Wawa and Yuengling) is REAL Italian water ice.

and quite seriously, my dad use to work on a farm. They had a chicken coup where they collected eggs. There was also a 5 gallon buckets where they would throw bad eggs, shell and all... Shipped them to TastyKake...no lie

I try not to be too critical of espn, but sean salsibury, john kruk, steve phillips and skip bayless are awful. I welcome Carter and hope they'll some day bring back reynolds. This if true can only be great news.

No. I found him entertaining. But I like guys that put people on edge... Although he was way better on the radio than TV.

Jeez, who is gonna keep John Clayton in line now?

Come to think about it, SS's USC blabbering did get annoying a lot...

Sean Salisbury just figured out that taking a picture of his dong for the entire Internet world to view might have been a really, really bad decision for a career on tv but then again might indicate that he is definitely ready to delve into the world of politics.
