Avatar problem

I tried several months ago to use a photo of my grandson which is on my profile page and downsize it enough to fit in the avatar box I use at the profile page but I had to reduce it so much I had to cut off most of his face to get it to fit. If anyone could help me use more of the photo if possible I would appreciate it. If that doesn't work I would like to use a Braves avatar with my profile avatar box. I tried downloading it into my documents but kept getting error messages. If the problem cannot be fixed I will just leave it the way it is. It just looks bad the way it is now. Thanks to anyone who may be able to fix this problem.

Will just stick with it the way it is but wish it would look like the way it does on my profile page when it shows my grandson on the cover of an imaginary magazine. Click on that photo and you will see what I mean about how much fun my grandson has playing baseball.

Romi, SSR - have a look at my avatar and you can get an idea of what I think Niteowl was looking to have. I like his avatar as well - but if he would like the full picture, why not have it?
