ArmchairGM Bad Seeds?

The Original Pnatt - a teenager named Peter from Australia who had been banned from wikipedia in the neighborhood around 80 times - wasn't a bad guy, he just had some curious mental issues. He was VERY compulsive, very obsessive and devoid of the ability to engage in a give-take conversation. He got upset very easily with everything he disagreed with and was generally a vandal and nuisance (he would edit articles from other people that had content he didn't like - a no-no) and was banned a couple times.

I tried to encourage him to make positive contributions and on occasion he did. But he would get VERY frustrated and caught up in trolling/flaming and after playing nicely for a bit, he went off the deep end. So I gave up trying to mold him into a decent contributor and formed the

After he failed to gain any attention, he left on his own.

A few months later, he returned as Pnatt II was generally pleasant, avoided confrontation and was a decent contributor, didn't engage in any malicious behavior and eventually left because everyone harassed him for being such a douche the first time around. I still feel bad that he got shoved away because it was nice to have more Australian presence.

He wasn't a bad kid. He was certainly energetic and was a very knowledgable wiki-artist. It's too bad people couldn't get past his past.

I look at his comments, and he seems to mention Australia in all of them from looking at the profile.

Well said Manny, I actually had several good conversations with Pnatt, he would just go off the deepend sometimes. When left alone and on his own he was good though.

Salty left for work, its funny though because he lives in my hometown so I hear from him on occasion now.

Pnatt loved the Canucks and little else from North America. On occasion, he'd let Canada off the hook... He wasn't fond of Great Britain either.

Australians are some of the nicest people you could meet, despite the Dundee associations (or Steve Irwin or the Wiggles). Pnatt was truly a rare breed.

haha, I remember that. I've blocked Manny, myself, and at least one of the founders (I think). The longest of those blocks was 1 second. I'd get bored, or, in manny's case, the Devil Rays will lose to Sydney Ponson, and I'll do it to make fun of them. It doesn't work any more because the traffic has increased and it won't get seen, but back in the day...

PB? He's an all-time GREAT commentor. I think he is extranet friends with the founders... Haven't heard much from him lately, but every so often he pops his head in...

Yeah he comes in and out from time to time, but he was a long time friend of the founders.

Still here fellas! I have become more of a lurker in the last year or so, but I still read the site. I tend to contribute more during the baseball season...

I have no excuse not being on here during the baseball hotstove season, especially after Johan signed with my Mets.

Also, you guys are right about my early status. I am very good friends with Awright and Pean. We all went to grammer school together. I loved the idea with this site from day one and had a few minor contributions. Awright may not admit it, but it was I who came up with the "All Sports, All You" tagline.

You must be like Pean, whenever we talk about someone we haven't seen in eons....or Pean, who is always here, they comment on that post.

The Esq. was my favorite JTJ'er. He came over in the May 2007 Invasion. He enjoyed watching the chaos of troll wars and then making tremendously sarcastic remarks about it. Very entertaining fellow.

He was mildly malicious but at least he was actually funny at it.

He was articulate, pleasant, charmingly witty and I kinda miss him. His comments were best read with the voice of Foghorn Leghorn.

You might be a better writer, but that guy was chock full of flavor. A real life Kentucky charmer - like Col. It's great to have new guys starting to contribute to the site. Everyone here has a little something to do. Writing articles, editing pages thoroughly, even commenting as a critic to an article is a great part of this site. That's one of the main reasons why I come on here as much as I can: I feel like I'm actually doing something that I like, as well as help others learn more about sports. thanks...I am doing my senior project on sports journalism and tomorrow night I am attending my schools boys Frosh and JV games and I will be writing about them in the local paper. I can't write about the Varsity game due to me being the leader of our student section and I can't take stats while I am getting the fans pumped!
