A new day, a new front page. Here's the new stuff:
- The featured story -- the thing in the upper right. That story is simply the one with the most votes over the last 7 hours or so which has an image. So, no longer does a really great story disappear as other stuff piles on top of it. Getting 20+ votes... that'll get you to the top, but again, your story *must* have an image on it to be "featured".
- The Hot Clicks section. It's sports links from around the web. Anyone can submit a link via this link, but for now, only the five staffers can approve them. That will change over time. Link Admins will be chosen by their ability to locate great links on a regular basis. There's also a special RSS feed for it.
- The Video of the Day. Pretty straight forward. Admins can add videos to the queue -- the format is date|video name|video description. Admins:If you want to try it out, let me know, and I'll help you with it.
- Featured Experts. We're featuring people who build the encyclopedia sections. You become a featured expert by being one of the top three encyclopedia editors over the last week. Basically, it counts the number of encyclopedia pages you work on, and the top three people get themselves and their work featured.
