Armchair's Connection at the US Open Update (GOLF!)
Sportsbrief, one of our very own AGMers recently played in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. In his first career appearance at the U.S. Open, Silva improved in the second round, but still went over par. He had a +9 in the first round, and a +5 in the second; he was ineligible to advance to the third round because he 10+ over the leader.
Although he has a +14 in the Open, and got cut, he still made AGM proud by actually being able to participate in the tournament. He played against the biggest names in golf today, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Stuart Appleby (who is currently in the lead). No matter what Silva does, he has my support all the way! This is only the first tournament of his career, and will have many more to come. K.I.M., Silva: Keep it movin'.
