An idea about voting

It's great that we now know who voted and edited for what players, teams, etc. but, if you don't mind guys, do you think you could go more in depth, and see how many stars everyone gave that player, team, etc? For example, let's say 3 people rate a player, and he is rated a 2.33. 2 of those votes could've been rated 1s, and the other one a 5. Sometimes, these ratings suck, and many people just decide to give them 1s or 2s. In my opinion, I like voting, not for points, but to make things accurate so that other people can vote accurately. So can you make a list for each page, and see keep track of the stars that everyone puts. Thanks.

Same here - if I think someone is a bit low, then I vote for them higher than I would if it was a fair representation.

What we really need is a "Dumbass System". Where anyone who votes Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan or someone else like that a 1 star, they get called out and made fun of.

I agree. As I have voted, I have come across some wacky votes. The best are 3-4-5 stars for teams that had below .500 recrods. HOW CAN THAT BE FOLKS?

I haven't checked it since I voted on the twams, but look at the first couple of Mets teams from the 1960's. Do they still have avg. votes above 2? I mean, one of those clubs set the all-time worse record. Yet, the vote was over 3....

I know. That is completely ridiculous. I think 'Monster and some other guys voted without even knowing that they were voting on teams.

Americanisation does not appear in my dictionary. "Americanization" does. I don't guess this this with us Americans changing the English vocabulary. How do you pronounce S-C-H? SH, right? We should say words like shedule and shool. Funny thing is we pronounce (Jason) Schmidt correctly.

Obviously the voting system has flaws. Current players are rated too high because people know their names and historical figures get dissed and it makes the site look dumb... but that's the way it is with the internet, I suppose... but have some pride, people!

Look, A LOT of people suck at voting. Last night I came across Marion Motley rated a 1.00 SEVERAL times!!! I almost threw up. MARION MOTLEY???

People shouldn't vote on players unless they KNOW who they are... (in a perfect world)

I counted no less than 12-16 Hall of Fame players (baseball, football, hockey and basketball) that had CUMULATIVE scores of 1.00 - Dave Bing was voted 1.00 EIGHT times before I gave him a five. HE'S A HALL OF FAMER PEOPLE!!!

There was over 100 pretty decent to great players that were 1.00 with 5, 8, 11 votes at that 1 star score. RIDICULOUS - it was NAUSEATING.

So I voted on ALL of the 1.00s and gave them higher votes (unless they were a 1.00 like Gino Torretta) so now the really sucky players are 1.09 instead of 1.00.

People just go through and plug away and don't read the names, or don't know the names it's isn't right.. I accept that it happens, but I personally HAD to do something about it, and not because of the stupid points but because I am part of this site and I WON'T LET MARION MOTLEY get dissed like that!

EXPECT an article educating you young punks about Marion Motley.

Stop it. I made my point. I can handle Bip Roberts getting dissed because he's listed as Leon, I don't expect others to know players like I do. But you so-called football fans that don't know who Marion Motley is makes me sick.

I shouldn't have to teach you, nor should I have to explain why you haven't learned on your own =)

Take a look at the Jim Connor page. He's rated 3.50. In his career, he played 4 seasons, with a career average of .233, 3 HRs and 129 RBIs. Are you seriously telling me that he deserves to be ranked higher than:

Bernie Williams

Julio Franco

Tony Perez

Fred Lynn

and other players who need to be ranked even higher than they are right now, IMO.
