Amazing Personal News!
My monitor came in the mail!
No that's not that great news...so as most of you know, I am a senior in high school. I am two months away from graduating and my town has a local community college here that I plan on attending as my first step into my journalism career, but something else has presented itself that gives me an extra step in giving me experience writing. Some of you know that I did my senior project on sports journalism and job shadowed the sports writer for our local paper. I was able to write three articles for the paper in order for physical evidence of my project. Now that my project is over, I was thanking my mentor (The sports journalist I job shadowed) for giving up so much time and all that jazz...that is when he offered me an internship at the local paper! So since I am staying and going to the college up here I also get an internship! This will mostly be for sports, but to broaden my horizons, they will have me follow other stuff. I will start most likely in August or September. VERY EXCITED!
Thanks to all of you who have been very supportive and gave me great feedback on my writing which has benefited me greatly! BOO YA
