Red Wings player Kris Draper may not be trusted to go near the Stanley Cup again even if he wins another one. I'd rather not go any further. The story speaks for itself.

The cup has definitely experienced a lot of weird things:

-In 1905 the Ottawa Silver Seven tried to punt the Cup over the rideau canal

-In 1980 Clark Gillies' dog ate from the Cup

-Mario Lemieux left it at the bottom of his swimming pool

-Sylvain Lefebvre had his daughter baptized in it
