A Thank You, to Romi
The best thing about this site is the community, and I'm rarely one to single out one person. But today, Romi did something simple -- and, unknowingly, critical -- to the well-being of ArmchairGM.
What did he do?
He created this page, showing the vote totals from today's Cy Young Award announcement. It's something anyone could have done, which means it was almost guaranteed to be overlooked. But as it turned out, that page was the most important one on ArmchairGM today. Why?
It so happens that Wikipedia's entry on the Cy Young Award - which is also the second item when one runs "Cy Young Award" in Google -- has a link to ArmchairGM at the bottom. The link says "Full Voting Results for the Cy Young Award" and goes to our Cy Young Award page.
As you can imagine, that Wikipedia link sent us a lot of web traffic today, and it would have reflected poorly on us as a community if the voting results weren't there. Thanks to Romi, though, we looked great.
