A Rant

Posted by SSreporters

Enough, this is as POed as I've ever been after any game from a team I support (and that includes that Toronto FC thought rant I just had). Even if this is irrational, I don't care anymore.

The Arizona Cardinals are going to win this division and be dominant for 7 years to come, because the Seahawks are headed for a deep deep depression for a long time to come. The Cardinals will be winning playoff games, the Seahawks will be racking up top 10 draft picks unless Tim Ruskell cleans house. Seattle has dropped to 1-4 and I think they may not win another game the rest of the season at this point. They may go 1-15, no joke. Seattle is unbelievably bad and will be for ages and frankly I think Seattle should just stop playing sports in general because it is pointless. Just consistent mediocrity and I'm sick of it.

azcardinals.jpg

Now about the game. Seattle lost again, this time to Green Bay in Qwest Field and are now reverting back to the 1990s when Ken Behring had this team. This is quite possibly the worst team in the league. Worse than the Lions. No really, worse than the Lions, the Detroit Lions. This team is incompetent in every form of the word on all sides of the ball. Offense? Incompetent. Defense? Incompetent. Special Teams? Bloody awful. Offense has somewhat of an excuse, because they've been banged up. But John Marshall is the worst d-coordinator in the league. Want to know how I know? Look at the stats and we've given up the 2nd most 20+ yard passing plays in the NFL, have no pass rush at all, and his playcalling is awful.

Cover 2, Prevent defense, rush 5 and drop your slowest linebacker in coverage, wash, rinse, repeat. This man is so useless it isn't funny. I give up on the season and I want Matthew Stafford or something like that, because it's time to rebuild for the future and consider 5-11 a successful record. Revamp this team, get Taylor Mays by trading away someone like Deion Branch, who is literally glass. Fire John Marshall.

Special teams is an absolute disaster. No way around it, Bruce DeHaven, it is not 1982, this is 2008, and this idea of having unimaginative special teams formations is crap. Josh Wilson is running into walls, and why is TJ Duckett returning kicks? Seattle has given up a punt return TD, several big returns, and haven't had a return over 45 yards I believe. Fire Bruce DeHaven now.

Offense. Where do I start? Injuries and all, this offense proved to me that even if they were healthy they would be near bottom of the league. Even Bobby Engram is dropping passes, and he is sure handed. Mike Holmgren is so clueless with his playcalling. It's 3rd and 12 and another FB draw? Sick of it. Resign Mike Holmgren.

No more of this crap, Seattle is an embarrassment right now, not just locally as far as wanting to fix something as simple as a bridge, but the Seahawks are just pathetic.

Arizona, although you are choking right now, take the NFC West crown and keep it for years to come. Because at this point Seattle has no right to win anything.

Rant over.

The NFC West is just a shade shittier than the NFC North this year. Just look at the amazing quarterbacks being started in these two divisions today: Charlie Frye, Dan Orlovsky, J.T. O'Sullivan, Gus Frerotte. Look at what happens in the NFL when Vinny Testaverde finally retires for good.

Good game from the Pack. I think 9-7 wins the Norris so that is possible.

As for Seattle, if we get even 1 more win I'd be shocked.

That's not a rant, this is...

You know what really grinds my gears? This Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan with all those little outfits, jumping around there on stage, half-naked with your little outfits. Ya know? You're out there jumping around and I'm just sitting here with my beer. So, what am I supposed to do? What you want? You know, are we gonna go out? Is that what you're trying to - why why are you leaping around there, throwing those things all up in my, over there in my face? What do you want, Lindsay? Tell me what you want? Well, I'll tell you what you want, you want nothing. You want nothing. All right? Because we all know that no woman anywhere wants to have sex with anyone, and to titillate us with any thoughts otherwise is - is just bogus.

back to the topic. When Hass gets back, I am sure the HAWKS will make a run. Whether it will be enough to take the NFC West for the 5th year in a row, IDK.

Even in their win the Cardinals tried to remind us all why they're the Cardinals. Teams like the Cardinals may have a good season here and there, but at the end of the day, they're still the Cardinals, Rams, Saints, Browns, Bengals, Lions, or Raiders. Did I miss anyone?

It's been all down hill for Seattle ever since their Super Bowl loss to Pittsburgh!! Haha. But hey, Shaun Alexander lost his magic touch after that game, too. So in a way...we really helped you out by beating you. You should thank the Steelers:)

Shaun never had a magic touch, just Steve Hutchinson.

Is this Seattle tailspin giving you a hard-on or something?

If so, that's why we have Playboy, so that's scary.

If not, please stop making it worse. ;-)

I say the magic touch a name, I think it was actually named "Mack Strong". That is when the Running game truly fell apart.

IMO, it was a combo of losing Hutch, Tobeck retiring, and Gray getting Old, Losing Mack Strong to injury then retirement, and SA getting hurt 2 yrs in a row. Put that all together, you have a once dominant running game that is falling apart.

Falling apart? I hope you mean these last 2 seasons because if you think this year's running game is mediocre than you've been watching the Packers play.

Julius Jones has been awesome, that holding call was BS and it was the turning point of the game. Jones, MoMo and Weaver all break tackles and have a 2nd gear. Seattle ran for 113 yards, they're still in the top 10 in rushing.

If only Mike Holmgren realized this......

I am sorry how have the Steelers done since that SB?

2006-8-8 no playoffs; and 10-6 1st round out?

and the Steelers 2nd half sched looks pretty brutal. they may get 10 wins this year.

Your schedule was tougher before the season started. Now everyone knows that CINCY, and CLE are dogs again. That will be 4 of your wins. Plus the Steelers could easily be 1-4 right now with a loss to CLE.
