AP Wins AP Offensive Rookie of the Year

Posted by Behbigben15

Adrian Peterson, rookie RB for the Minnesota Vikings, won the Offensive Rookie of the Year today. Peterson ran for 1,341 Yards, and 12 TD's with an average of 5.6 YPC in 14 games this season.

I am shocked that no one (including myself) has written an article on this, Peterson has had an amazing season, and I am disappointed that the Vikes did not make the playoffs, although Washington did deserve it a little more.

The one in Chicago is still better than Cedric Benson, at least.

the one is Chicago... the one that plays for NFL Europe... the one getting high in some guy's basement... a guy wearing an Adrian Peterson jersey... these are all examples of people who make better running backs than Cedric Benson...

but lets not list em all, lets just list the one's who are worse:

...uh... a little help?

That's true. Cedric Benson has been a HUGE bust. Maybe a very desperate team, like say, the NYJ, ATL (when Dunn retires), or HOU will give them a decent QB for Benson.

I'll help you Falcon, Rex Grossman is a better RB than Benson, maybe Grossman should be Chicago's RB instead of QB:)

I dunno, I think in my league, I'd still take LT number 1. Peterson still has to prove he can stay healthy, and durability is not a concern when you have Tomlinson. Plus, it seems LT can have "WOW" years any time he wants.

How about this stretch of games (carries/yards/TDs):

12/112/0

20/224/3

12/63/1

20/70/0

30/296/3

11/45/0

15/116/2

14/3/0 (yes, 3 yards on 14 carries)

20/78/2

Besides durability, consistency is definitely a concern.

If you're in a head-to-head league, AP is definitely going to single-handedly win you some games, but he's gonna lose you some too with his 4 or 7 point performances.
