Oh, snap...games don't matter, only the winner. I picked the Cubs, I BET on the Dodgers. My bank account is way smarter than I am.

OK. I'm going with "team that wins 3 games first wins" and team that loses three games first" loses to define your "Somebody"

Rays in 4,

Angels in 4,

Rays over Angels in 5.

Phillies in 5,

Dodgers in 3,

Phillies over Dodgers in 6.

Rays over Phillies in 6.

Rays are the new Braves (playoffs every year on the strength of young starters, but with the run producing aspect of Whitey Herzog's Cardinals).

Brad Lidge is the new Mitch Williams.

I would do a running blog on today's Rays game but I want to enjoy it uninterrupted and besides, it won't be a close game. James Shields is going to dominate.

If the Rays are the new Braves how does Brad Lidge become the new Mitch Williams...

btw, did anyone see the commercial with Williams and memorable home runs...he actually says the first one that came to mind was Kirk Gibson's. I couldn't stop laughing because I couldn't understand why that one was the first...

Finally, when pressed he said (paraphrasing) oh yeah, I was 60 feet 6 inches from another historic one...Joe carter

That's right...you were

Wow, Shields sure did just dominate Griffey. I thought he was going to fall flat on his face after those two hard swings right in a row. He finished him off to end the top half of the second inning.
