2007 ArmchairGM Fantasy Standings
Today I have (finally!) updated the standings for the ArmchairGM Fantasy Sports Series, and modified them slightly to cope with new events.
There are 9 Fantasy Sports currently that I can see are in progress, and there are 2 Mega Bowls, which are open to anyone at any time of the year, and can be found on either the Mega Bowl of Chess page or the Mega Bowl of Pool page. You should challenge the lowest ranked player on the ladder and work your way up. Yahoo Pool/Chess are used, and chess is over 1 game (the lower ranked chooses the colour) and the Pool is recommended that it is a minimum of best of 9 frames (or racks as I believe Americans call them).
Other issues arising – the 12 player Fantasy Basketball appears to have just 4 ArmchairGM users in it… So there is at least three points in it for each member.
The soccer is about to be won by Thecrookedcap.
Hockey is about to be won by me (famous last words). Half way through the final, I lead MJD 14-0 in a 15 stat game. Third place is looking good for Shrubbery too.
Golf is very close between the top 5 or 6 players.
The 14 player baseball League starts today (of course!), although there might be another one? In which case, I’ll happily add it to the list if people give me the results (I doubt I’ll be able to access it).
If there are any events I’ve missed, and suchlike, then tell me and I’ll add it. Also, feel free to suggest other potential games. Batracer is a racing simulator for anything like F1, and IRL if people are interested in that (along with many other racing series). I'd love to start one of those up if people are interested.
The points system is 9 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th and 1 for 6th. Bold type denotes completed series.
