Born on December 25, 1904 in Beeville, Texas, Lloyd Brown (Lloyd Andrew Brown) played for the Brooklyn Robins, Washington Senators, St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 12 year career. Brown broke into the bigs on July 17, 1925 with the Brooklyn Robins, and put up a 4.12 ERA in 63.1 innings pitched in 1925, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Lloyd Brown's best season was 1931, when he posted a 3.20 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 79 batters.
