Liverpool Trounce Toulouse--Tribute to a murdered boy

Last night at Anfield a strange thing happened. (No, not the fact that Peter Crouch was in the starting 11.) When the teams were introduced the Everton Song—the theme from a 70’s cop show called Z Cars—was playing over the PA. This was done as a tribute to an 11 year old Everton Fan, Rhys Jones, who was shot and killed last week in Croxteth--a suburb of Liverpool--on his way home from football practice. He was not a suspected gang member; he was just a lad in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners on aggregate which secures them a place in the UCL group stage. Crouch put the home side ahead in the 19 th minute by converting a cross from Kyut set up by Egyptian stand in Benayoun--take that rafa 8 goals in 10 appearances in Europe. In the second half goals from Sammi Hyypia and Dirk Kuyt(2) sealed the victory for the Red Merseysiders. Unfortunately for Crouch this means he is Cup Tied and no longer a viable transfer target for any good teams. I hope he gets his minutes.
Even worse, poor Ryan will never get his shot at the big time.....in any meaning of the word. RIP and let’s get the guns out of the UK!
