Despite an off-game from captain Steven Gerrard, Liverpool completely outclassed bottom of the league Watford for a comfortable 3-0 win.
First half goals from Bellamy and Crouch were harsh on the home team who had held their own for the first 30 minutes and created a few chances, Hameur Bouazza coming close with a 20 yard drive on his return from injury.
The second half was a different story, Watford lacked the spirit they've shown so far this season and were second best throughout, despite throwing everyone forward for the second half, a desperate half-time substitution saw Ashley Young move to central midfield as debutant Will Hoskins came on up front with Darius Henderson - with Bouazza and Tommy Smith as the wide men. It was certainly an attacking formation, but ultimately all that came from it was a curling, dipping effort from left-back Jordan Stewart, which beat Reina and thumped back off the crossbar.
Crouch added his second and Liverpools third after some good work by Bellamy and there was simply no way back for Watford from there.
