List of NASCAR teams
This is a list of NASCAR teams, a list of all teams that race in one of NASCAR's top three divisions (NEXTEL Cup, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series). Full-time teams are teams that attempt to qualify for every race in their division (with very few exceptions, such as those due to hauler breakdowns or deaths). Part-time teams are teams that are active but do not attempt to qualify for every race.

Notes:
- Waltrip-Jasper Racing is a second car to Bill Davis Racing. The team purchased the former #77 team's owner's points for this season and runs under the Waltrip-Jasper Racing banner.
- Front Row Motorsports purchased the #61 team mid-2006. The 61's former owner, Jeff Stec, remains as an owner for owner's points.
- PPI Motorsports and Furniture Row Racing have an agreement where both teams
will share information like teammates.

[edit] New teams that are expected to make their debut soon
- Alex Yontz Racing—This is a new Craftsman Truck team driven by 19-year-old Alex Yontz. It is sponsored by the rock group Vixen and will compete in an undetermined number of races in 2006.[1]
- H&K Motorsports—A team owned by Eddie Kucharski and Bonnie Heimlich and based in Denton, Texas. Will run the #58 Socko Energy Drink Dodge driven by Trevor Boys and crew chiefed by Larry Pryor. No debut date was named.
- Latin American Racing— A new team owned by Adal Ramones and driven by Jorge Goeters, and will compete part-time in the Busch Series in 2006. No debut date has been released.
- Premier Motorsports—This is a Kentucky based NASCAR team that is planning to expand into NEXTEL Cup in 2006 as the #64. [2] Eric McClure will drive for them in Cup, Busch, and the ARCA series.
- S&L Racing— Owned by NFL players Gale Sayers and Ray Lewis. Will be expected to run in the Craftsman Truck Series later this season.[3]
- STAR Motorsports Inc.(a.k.a. STAR-TEAM WAYANS)—This team will be owned by Sean Holley the Wayans Brothers, and have an eye on making their NASCAR debut in 2006. Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, they are expected to play a big role in the Drive for Diversity program. In December 2005, they announced that short track racer Tommy Strader will be competing in the USAR series in 2006, and will announce more of their NASCAR plans later.[4]
- Tim Brown Racing—Owned by former NFL star Tim Brown, it will receive equipment from Roush Racing and will field the #81 Ford. The series it will run will be determined by sponsorship.
- Victory Motorsports Owned by former NFL wide reciever Terance Mathis, was announced in July 2005 with Carl Long and Morty Buckles as drivers. Formed an alliance with Morgan-McClure Motorsports a few months later. The team announced it had purchased R&J Racing in June 2006, but that sale apparantly did not go through.
