Liriano Moves Into Twins Rotation

The Minnesota Twins have temporarily removed Carlos Silva from the rotation, and replaced him with 22 year old lefty prosepect Francisco Liriano.
In the bullpen this year, Liriano is 1-0 with a 3.22 ERA in 12 appearances and 32 strikeouts in 22 1/3 innings.
Liriano hopes to follow in teammate (and fellow lefty) Johan Santana's footsteps. In 2003, Santana was moved from the bullpen to the rotation, and became one of the best pitchers in baseball over the past few years.
Liriano will start on Friday night at Milwaukee on a strict pitch count.
