Lions Sign Verba

Although terms are not available, the Detroit Lions have signed T Ross Verba. Verba sat out last season, demanding a contract worth at least $35 million. However, it is unlikely that Verba received that amount with the current deal. Verba will challenge Kelly Butler for the right tackle job this season. He may also take over on the left side of the line for Jeff Backus if Backus leaves via free agency.

I don't think this will make a whole lot of difference for our offense. We need to completely revamp the offensive line and hopefully they can improve.
