Eh... that article makes it sound way worse than it was. I was at that game and the fans were more than gracious toward the home team and the visitors. The refs on the other hand deserved to be pelted by whatever object could be found at the Phonebooth.

I thought the call on Poti was weak, but I thought the refs missed the trip on Kappanen a minute earlier so it evened out.

It was bad reffing all around. Huet was tackled when the Flyers scored their second goal. But the Caps got the benifit of the worse high sticking call ever. Bottomline is, you cant let those teams duke it out for 6 games then put the handcuffs on them in game 7.
