Lima Time?

Jose Lima went 3.5 giving up 7 runs and a grand slam to the pitcher, and Darren Oliver ended up coming in anyway in the 4th inning to try to fix the 7-0 lead by the Florida Marlins. Why was Lima starting in the first place? Oliver is better. Or Aaron Heilman, what happened to him being a starter? Or how 'bout Julio Franco? A 47 year old could probably pitch better than Lima. At least I probably (hopefully) got to see Lima's last MLB game.

Not to excuse Lima, but he gave up a walk, 2 excuse me hits, and had Wright make an inexcusable error before giving up the Grannie to Willis.

Of course, the Phils failed to make up any ground on the Mets. maybe getting swept by the Pirates would force the Phils to blow up the team, starting with the manager and then the players.

I...a die-hard mets fan hate hearing "Lima for an emergency start" i do like hearing/reading "lima optioned to triple-A" this guy just doesn't have it anymore. i think if there is a prolonged issue with Pedro and they have run the course of bringing up players and they just don't cut it they should look to see who is available as a free-agent first and i am not sure if there IS anyone.hopefully pelfrey has a decent outing and sticks around a while and bannister maybe gets back soon. or i can expect a trade sooner than later?
