Has anyone ever wondered what life would be like without sports? Well, it would certainly be a different world wouldn't it? With no sports, I don't think there would be a reason to live. If you really think about it, the world pretty much revolves around sports. There isn't too many
American that doesn't like either Football, Baseball, Basketball, or Lacrosse (Everyone plays it in my hometown). I have come up with a list of
things that would exist if there was NO sports in today's world.
- There would be no ESPN (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
- There would not be a reason to read the newspaper.
- Sunday's during the fall and winter would be just another day of the week.
- The only thing there would be to talk about on the radio is politics.
- John Madden would not be loved by millions, and he would not have a man crush on Brett Favre.
- There would be no athletes for little kids to look up to.
- Barry Bonds would not be on steroids, but Michael Vick would still be in jail.
- New Orleans' residents may still be depressed, and homeless after Hurricane Katrina if the Saints didn't exist to help them through the tragedy.
- There wouldn't be gambling, so all those gamblers who lost everything, would still have a home, and money.
- And last, but not least, there wouldn't be an ArmchairGM.com, therefore, I would not be writing this article.
THANK GOD FOR SPORTS!!!!!
This is just a few of the thousands of reasons why I am thankful for sports. If anyone has there own reasons, list them in a comment, and I will add them on with your name.
