Let's Do the Quarterback Shuffle

Jim McMahon, a former O'Brien winner, did a pretty mean Super Bowl shuffle with his Chicago Bears quite some time ago...well Steve Spurrier, the current O'Brien Legends Award winner, is putting a whole new step into the QB Shuffle at South Carolina.
I am not going to be the only one to criticize Spurrier for his willingness to yank the chain on his starting Quarterback. He has done it at Florida and now at South Carolina and I find it incredibly strange that he would, as an ex QB himself, feel that it is actually beneficial to his team to rotate between a few QB's. *** Disclaimer*** "Florida was successful once with a two QB system with Tebow/Leak...but please understand, it typically DOES NOT WORK"
Cory McCartney said it best in his article on SI.com:
> A quarterback rotation has bit him before, but Steve Spurrier just can't risk tempting fate. It didn't work while he was at Florida, shuffling back and forth between Doug Johnson and Jesse Palmer and it doesn't work at South Carolina, where against Vanderbilt Spurrier went back and forth between Chris Smelley and Blake Mitchell, who combined for 256 yards, three interceptions and no touchdowns. "Neither of us could get it going," Smelley said. "Coach Spurrier was trying to get one of us to spark the offense and band together." Granted, neither had any help from a running game that averaged 1.1 yards per carry, but it's hard to get the offense to band together when QBs are playing in fear of making a mistake and getting yanked. Spurrier's mind games are legendary, but this revolving door does little to build confidence or rhythm. And you can bet he'll do it again.
It is how Spurrier has always run his teams and he has had a lot of success. but here is where my question comes in. The O'Brien recognizes what makes a quarterback special, their leadership and character. these qualities will ultimately lead a team to wins. It is that important. Maybe Spurrier recognizes that these times he goes to a 2 QB system that he does not have a QB with the leadership qualities necessary to win a game or win The O'Brien.
