Leslie Shepherd (Leslie Glenard Shepherd) was born on November 3, 1969 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Forestville (MD), Shepherd attended Temple University. Shepherd made his professional debut in the NFL in 1994 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1998 was Leslie Shepherd's best year, as he hauled in 43 receptions, had 712 receiving yards and caught 8 TD passes.
