Les Webber

Born on May 6, 1915 in Kelseyville, California, Les Webber (Lester Elmer Webber) played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 6 year career. Webber broke into the bigs on May 17, 1942 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and put up a 2.96 ERA in 51.2 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Les Webber's best season was 1943, when he posted a 3.81 ERA and notched 10 saves.
