Les Strayhorn (Leslie Dewey Strayhorn) was born on September 1, 1951 in Trenton, North Carolina. After going to high school at Jones (Trenton, NC), Strayhorn attended East Carolina University. Strayhorn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1973 was Les Strayhorn's best year.
