Les Nunamaker (Leslie Grant Nunamaker) was born on January 25, 1889 in Malcolm, Nebraska. He made his Major League debut on April 28, 1911 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1911, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 0 home runs and 19 RBI. Nunamaker played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, St. Louis Browns and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Les Nunamaker's best season was 1916, when he hit for a .296 average.
