Les Mallon (Leslie Clyde Mallon) was born on November 21, 1905 in Sweetwater, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1931 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1931, his rookie year, he hit .309 with 1 home run and 45 RBI. Mallon played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Les Mallon's best season was 1931, when he hit for a .309 average.
