Born on June 1, 1869 in Baltimore, Maryland, Les German (Lester Stanley German) played for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Giants and Washington Senators over the course of his 6 year career. German broke into the bigs on August 27, 1890 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 4.83 ERA in 132.1 innings pitched in 1890, his rookie year.
