Les Fleming (Leslie Harvey Fleming) was born on August 7, 1915 in Singleton, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 22, 1939 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .292 with 14 home runs and 82 RBI. Fleming played for the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Les Fleming's best season was 1942, when he hit for a .292 average and knocked in 82 runs.
