Les Burke (Leslie Kingston Burke) was born on December 18, 1902 in Lynn, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1923 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1924, his rookie year, he hit .253 with 0 home runs and 17 RBI. Burke played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that Les Burke's best season was 1925, when he hit for a .289 average.
