Les Bingaman (Lester Alonza Bingaman) was born on February 3, 1926 in MacKenzie, Tennessee. After going to high school at Lew Wallace (Gary, IN), Bingaman attended the University of Illinois. Bingaman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Les Bingaman's best year.
