Born on February 27, 1906 in Steward, Illinois, Leroy Herrmann (Leroy George Herrmann) played for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 3 year career. Herrmann broke into the bigs on July 30, 1932 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 3.58 ERA in 108 innings pitched in 1935, his rookie year.
