Leonard Wingate (Leonard Junior Wingate) was born on November 3, 1961 in Charleston, South Carolina. After going to high school at Burke (Charleston, SC), Wingate attended South Carolina State University. Wingate made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 1 year career.
