Leon Clarke (Leon T. Clarke) was born on January 10, 1933 in Venice, California. After going to high school at Venice (CA), Clarke attended the University of Southern California. Clarke made his professional debut in the NFL in 1956 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1956 was Leon Clarke's best year, as he hauled in 36 receptions, had 650 receiving yards and caught 4 TD passes.
