Born on August 15, 1901 in St. Ignace, Michigan, Leo Sweetland (Leo Sweetland) played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 5 year career. Sweetland broke into the bigs on July 4, 1927 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 6.16 ERA in 103.2 innings pitched in 1927, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Leo Sweetland's best season was 1929, when he won 13 games.
