Leo Elter (Leo William Elter) was born on October 21, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Shaler (Pittsburgh, PA), Elter attended Duquesne University and Villanova University. Elter made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1955 was Leo Elter's best year.
