Leo Durocher (Leo Ernest Durocher) was born on July 27, 1905 in West Springfield, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on October 2, 1925 for the New York Yankees. In 1928, his rookie year, he hit .270 with 0 home runs and 31 RBI. Durocher played for the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Dodgers over the course of his 16 year career.

Most people believe that Leo Durocher's best season was 1935, when he knocked in 78 runs.
