Lenny Williams (Lenny Williams) was born on December 16, 1981. He went to high school at Boston (Lake Charles, LA).
College
Williams attended Southern University. Where he was named the 2003 SWAC Defensive Player of the Year. He finished his collegiate career with 273 tackles (seventh on SU’s career list) and 15 INTs. Williams did not allow a touchdown catch by an opposing receiver in his final two college seasons.
Pro
William was drafted in the 7th round (252nd overall) by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2004 NFL Draft. Williams spent two years on the Dallas Cowboys practice roster.He spent the summer of 2006 in NFL Europe as a defensive back and kick returner, helping the Frankfurt Galaxy to a World Bowl victory. He signed as a free agent with the Edmonton Eskimos on August 7, 2007.Williams joined the Eskimos mid-way through the season, making his CFL debut in Saskatchewan on August 18. He played in seven games (six starts), recording 17 defensive tackles, a knockdown, a fumble recovery and an interception. He spent five games on the injured roster after suffering a knee injury on a kick return in Calgary at the Labour Day Classic.
