Lenny Green (Leonard Charles Green) was born on January 6, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan. He made his Major League debut on August 25, 1957 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1959, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 3 home runs and 17 RBI. Green played for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 12 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Lenny Green's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1962, when he knocked in 63 runs. However, others believe that it was 1961, when he hit for a .285 average and knocked in 50 runs.
