Len Szafaryn

Len Szafaryn (Leonard Adolph Szafaryn) was born on January 19, 1928 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Ambridge (PA), Szafaryn attended the University of North Carolina. Szafaryn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that 1955 was Len Szafaryn's best year, as he ran back a punt for a touchdown.
