Leland Shaffer (Leland K. Shaffer) was born on May 9, 1912 in Minneola, Kansas. After going to high school at Minneola (KS), Shaffer attended Kansas State University. Shaffer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 10 year career.
